Frequently asked questions

How do I build a wardrobe in knitwear?

One sweater, one layer, one pair of pants, in that order. Start with a crewneck or hoodie in Cashfeel Merino, since it gets worn every week. Add an overshirt or cardigan in the same yarn as the layer for spring and autumn. Then knitted cotton pants for the city. After that, a Royal Cashmere sweater for cold days and a wool and cashmere set for home.

Which material should I start with?

Cashfeel Merino. Our extra fine merino wool is light, breathes, keeps its shape and takes more washing than cashmere, so it suits the sweater you wear most. Choose Royal Cashmere second, for the softest and warmest sweater on cold days. A wool and cashmere blend is the middle road if you want one sweater that is softer than merino and wears harder than cashmere.

Can I wear knitwear at the office?

Yes, most days. A merino crewneck or half zip over a shirt, a polo sweater under a blazer or a buttoned overshirt in Milano knit all read as dressed, and the knitted blazer in Cashfeel Merino replaces a tailored jacket. Keep the colours dark or neutral and the fit regular. Hoodies and the wool and cashmere sets are for the weekend.

Does knitwear shrink in the wash?

Not on a wool programme at 30 degrees or by hand, dried flat. Merino and cashmere shrink when heat and tumbling meet, so the risk is a cotton programme at 40 degrees or the tumble dryer. Knitted cotton and linen take the machine at 30 degrees but shrink in the dryer as well. Air knitwear between wears and wash it rarely, and it keeps its size for years.

Men's knitwear and clothing

Everything we make is on this page. The knitwear is the centre of it: crewnecks, half zips, hoodies, polo sweaters and vests in Royal Cashmere, Cashfeel Merino and blends of wool and cashmere. Around it sit the cardigans and overshirts you wear as the layer between sweater and coat, the knitted polos and t-shirts in cotton and cashmere for the warm months, and the pants and shorts in cashmere, cotton and linen that are cut to go with the rest. Caps and cashmere beanies are in accessories. Designed in Stockholm and sold in our store on Grev Turegatan.

Where to start, and which material

Start with the sweater you will wear most, and choose the material by how often that is. Cashfeel Merino, our extra fine merino wool, is the one for every week: it is light, breathes, keeps its shape and takes more washing than cashmere, so a merino crewneck or hoodie is the first piece for most men. Royal Cashmere is the softest and warmest we knit, for the sweater you reach for on cold days and evenings out. Wool and cashmere blends sit between the two, softer than merino and harder wearing than cashmere. Once the sweater is there, the second piece is the layer over it: an overshirt in merino for spring and autumn, or a cardigan for winter. Then the pants that go with it, knitted cotton for the city and wool and cashmere for home. Knitwear works at the office as well. A merino crewneck over a shirt, a polo sweater under a blazer or a buttoned overshirt reads as dressed, and the knitted blazer replaces a tailored jacket on most days.

Fit and care

Almost everything we make has a regular fit that sits close without being tight, so choose your usual size across the range. Wool and cashmere go on a wool programme at 30 degrees or by hand, dried flat and stored folded. Cotton and linen go in the machine at 30 degrees and hang to dry. Nothing goes in the tumble dryer. Air knitwear between wears, it needs washing less often than you think.
