Frequently asked questions

Cotton, cashmere or linen shorts?

Cotton for the city, cashmere for home and linen for the beach. The Cotton Knitted Shorts in high twist cotton hold their shape through a day in town and look right with a knitted polo. The Cashmere Shorts in merino wool and cashmere are the softest, for evenings at home, a long flight or a holiday. Linen shorts are the coolest for the hottest days.

Do knitted shorts go baggy or stretch at the waist?

No. The elastic waist and drawstring keep them in place, and the knit is made to hold its shape. The high twist cotton in the Cotton Knitted Shorts is chosen for exactly that, a crisp hand that does not sag through the day. The Cashmere Shorts are a denser 7 gauge knit, which gives them weight and a clean drape. Dry them flat and they stay in shape.

What size should I take in the shorts?

Your usual size. All our shorts have a regular fit with an elastic waist and a drawstring, so one size covers more than it would in a pair of chinos. The model in the Cotton Knitted Shorts is 185 cm, weighs 85 kg and wears a large. If you prefer a looser leg, go one size up. The length ends just above the knee in every size.

Can I wear the Cashmere Shorts outside the house?

Yes. On holiday and on warm evenings they pass as a pair of neat shorts in greige or navy, especially with a knitted polo. They are made for home, flights and slow mornings first, and the 90 % merino wool and 10 % cashmere knit is warmer than cotton, so they are not the shorts for a hot afternoon in the city. For that, take the cotton or the linen.

Shorts

Knitted shorts for men

Three kinds of shorts, all with an elastic waist, a drawstring and a length just above the knee. The Cotton Knitted Shorts in 100 % high twist cotton, in safari green, light grey and black, with side pockets. The Cashmere Shorts in 90 % merino wool and 10 % cashmere, knitted in a 7 gauge, in greige and navy, with side pockets and a back pocket. And linen shorts in navy and sand for the hottest days. Every pair is designed in Stockholm to go with the knitwear on the rest of the site.

Cotton, cashmere or linen

The Cotton Knitted Shorts are the ones for the city. High twist cotton has a dry, crisp hand and a cool touch, close to linen in comfort but with a cleaner shape that holds through the day, so they look right with a knitted polo at lunch. The Cashmere Shorts are for home, a long flight and warm evenings on holiday, the softest shorts we make, and there is a hoodie in the same colour if you want to wear them as a set. Linen shorts are for the beach and the terrace in July, the lightest and coolest of the three, and the creases are part of the look. If you are buying one pair, take the cotton in black or light grey. It is the pair that works in the most places.

Fit and care

All our shorts have a regular fit with an elastic waist and drawstring, so the size is forgiving. Choose your usual size. If you prefer a looser leg, go one size up. Cotton and linen shorts go in the machine at 30 degrees and hang to dry. The Cashmere Shorts are washed on a wool programme or by hand and dried flat, like the matching hoodie. Keep all of them out of the tumble dryer so they keep their length.
