Linen

Linen pants and shorts for men. Linen is the lightest and coolest material we use, made for the hottest days of summer. It gets softer with every wash, and the creases are part of the look. Wear with a knitted cotton polo or a plain t-shirt.

Frequently asked questions

Does linen wrinkle?

Yes, but less than you expect with ours. The Spanish linen in our pants and shorts is slightly heavier than usual summer linen, so the fabric falls straight and takes fewer sharp creases through the day. Light creases still appear, especially behind the knee, and they are part of how linen looks. Iron damp if you want a crisper line for the evening.

Linen or cotton for summer?

Linen for the hottest days, knitted cotton for the rest of the summer. Linen breathes more, feels cooler against the skin and dries faster, so above 25 degrees it wins. Knitted cotton is a little warmer but neater, holds its shape better and passes at an office. Many customers wear the cotton pants in the city and change to the linen pants or shorts on holiday.

Linen pants or linen shorts?

Pants for dinner, the terrace and the city, shorts for the water and the hottest afternoons. The Linen Pants in navy pass at a restaurant with a knitted polo and loafers. The Linen Shorts end just above the knee and are the pair for the beach, the boat and a holiday in July. Both have the same elastic waist with a drawstring and come in navy and sand.

How do I wash linen?

At 30 degrees with similar colours, then hang to dry. Linen shrinks in hot water and in the tumble dryer, so those are the two things to avoid. Pull the pants gently into shape while damp and hang them by the waist. The linen gets softer with every wash without losing its length. Iron it while still damp if you want a crisp line.

Linen for men: linen pants and linen shorts

Everything on this page is cut from 100 % linen. We use a Spanish linen that is slightly heavier than the usual summer linen, which gives the fabric a drape that falls straight and makes it less prone to sharp creases through the day, without losing the breathability linen is chosen for. We make it as linen pants with a relaxed leg, an elastic waistband with a drawstring, side pockets and a back pocket, and as linen shorts with the same waist and a length just above the knee. Both come in navy and sand. Linen is the lightest and coolest material we use, and we use it for one reason: nothing knitted is as cool on a hot day. Designed in Stockholm and sold in our store on Grev Turegatan.

Linen or cotton, and pants or shorts

Linen is the material for the hottest weeks of the year. The fabric breathes, feels cool against the skin and dries fast, and it softens with every wash. Knitted cotton is the next step down: a little warmer, a little neater and the better choice for an office or a city evening in June. If the day is above 25 degrees, linen. If it is a normal Swedish summer day, the cotton pants or shorts will do and look a little sharper. Between pants and shorts, the Linen Pants are the pair for dinner, the terrace and the city in July, in navy if you want them to pass at a restaurant and in sand if they are for the beach and the boat. The Linen Shorts are for the water, the holiday and the hottest afternoons, with a knitted cotton polo or a plain t-shirt.

Fit and care

Regular fit with a relaxed leg and an elastic waist, so the size is forgiving. Choose your usual size, or one up for a wider leg. Wash at 30 degrees with similar colours, hang to dry and keep it out of the tumble dryer, which is what shortens linen. Iron damp if you want a crisp line, or leave the light creases, which are part of how linen looks.
