Wool and cashmere or pure cashmere half zip?

Wool and cashmere, if the sweater will be worn often. The Wool Cashmere Half Zip in 90 % merino wool and 10 % cashmere keeps its shape through years of wear and is soft at the neck where it matters. Pure cashmere is softer and warmer still, but we knit it as the Royal Cashmere Zip Hoodie with a hood, not as a half zip with a collar.

Does a 90/10 wool cashmere half zip pill?

A little in the first weeks, mostly where the cuffs rub, then it stops. The 90 % merino wool holds the knit together, so the Wool Cashmere Half Zip pills less than a pure cashmere sweater. Remove any pills with a wool comb rather than pulling them off, air the sweater between wears and wash it rarely. After the first month the surface settles and stays smooth.

Grey, denim blue or brown, which colour should I choose?

Grey if the half zip is for the office, since it goes under a navy coat and over a white shirt. Brown if it is for autumn weekends, with beige chinos and dark jeans. Denim blue if you already own a grey sweater and want something lighter for spring. All three are the same Wool Cashmere Half Zip in 90 % merino wool and 10 % cashmere.

Can I machine wash a wool cashmere half zip?

Yes, on a wool programme at 30 degrees with a wool detergent and low spin. Close the zip first so it does not catch the knit, turn the sweater inside out, and dry it flat rather than on a hanger. What damages wool and cashmere is heat and tumbling, so skip the normal cotton programme and the tumble dryer. Between washes, airing overnight is usually enough.

The Wool Cashmere Half Zip is knitted in 90 % merino wool and 10 % cashmere, a two ply 12 gauge plain knit, in grey, denim blue and brown. It has a stand collar, a short zip and ribbed cuffs, and a regular fit that sits close to the body. The merino gives the sweater its strength and shape, the cashmere gives it the softness you feel at the neck and the wrists. Worn open over a shirt at the office and closed over a t-shirt at the weekend, it is the half zip that covers both. Designed in Stockholm and sold in our store on Grev Turegatan.

Fit and care

Regular fit, true to size. The model is 183 cm, weighs 76 kg and wears a medium. Choose your usual size, or one size up if you plan to wear a thick shirt underneath. Air the sweater between wears. Wash on a wool programme at 30 degrees or by hand, close the zip first, dry flat and fold it in the wardrobe. A little pilling in the first weeks is normal where the cuffs rub, and a wool comb removes it.
