Cardigans

Knitted cardigans for men in cashmere, merino wool and cotton. A thin zip cardigan for the office, a warmer one with a shawl collar for cold days, or a heavier knit you can wear instead of a jacket. All of them are cut to sit well over a shirt or on their own, and made to last for years.

Frequently asked questions

Which cardigan is best for the office?

The Cashfeel Merino Zip Cardigan. It is thin enough to wear under a coat, sits neatly over a shirt and the merino wool breathes, so it works in a warm office too.

Cardigan or overshirt, what is the difference?

A cardigan is a knitted sweater that opens at the front, softer and closer to the body. An overshirt has a shirt collar and buttons and looks a little more dressed. Many of our customers own one of each.

How do I wash a merino or cashmere cardigan?

Air it between wears. When it needs washing, use a wool programme at 30 degrees or hand wash, and dry it flat. Never tumble dry.

Cardigans

Cardigans for men

A good cardigan does the job of a sweater and a jacket at the same time. Ours are knitted in Cashfeel Merino, wool and cashmere, and cotton, with a fit that sits well over a shirt or a t-shirt. Every cardigan is designed in Stockholm and made to be the piece you reach for from September to May.

Which cardigan?

The Cashfeel Merino Zip Cardigan is the thin one for the office, easy to wear under a coat. The Shawl Cardigan and the Suede Cardigan are heavier knits with a shawl collar, made for cold days and evenings out. The Bomber Cardigan and the Sport Cardigan sit in between and replace a light jacket in spring and autumn. The Full Zip Cashmere Cardigan in wool and cashmere is the softest in the collection. The Heavy Knitted Cardigan in cotton is the one for summer evenings.

Zip or buttons?

A zip cardigan is the quickest to put on and take off, and the zip gives a cleaner line under a coat. A button cardigan looks a little more classic and sits better open, which is how most people wear it over a shirt. Both work at the office. For a shawl collar, buttons are the rule.

Cardigan or overshirt?

A cardigan is softer and closer to a sweater. An overshirt has a shirt collar and buttons and looks a little more dressed. Many of our customers own one of each and wear the cardigan on the days they want to be comfortable and the overshirt on the days they want to look sharp. See all cardigans and overshirts.

How to wear a cardigan

Over a shirt with the top button open at the office. Over a knitted t-shirt at the weekend. Under a coat in winter, when a thin merino cardigan adds warmth without bulk. With cotton pants in a matching colour for the easiest outfit of the week.

Fit

Our cardigans have a regular fit that follows the body without being tight, with room for a shirt underneath. Choose your usual size. For the heavier shawl collar models, your usual size gives the intended relaxed look.

Care

Air between wears. Wash on a wool programme at 30 degrees or by hand, close the zip or buttons first and dry flat. Cotton cardigans go in the machine at 30 degrees. Everything in merino, wool and cashmere and cotton.
