From Stockholm to Doha – Brown Avenue at Galeries Lafayette

French department store tradition, Arabian architecture and Scandinavian design. In Doha, the capital of Qatar, influences from different parts of the world meet – and at Galeries Lafayette, Brown Avenue is represented.

A visit to Doha can hold many expressions. In Katara Cultural Village, art, architecture and restaurants come together close to the water. Here you will find an amphitheatre area, galleries and mosques with richly detailed facades – a setting where culture gets room between the walks and the meals.

This is also where you find 21 High st, the shopping district that is home to Galeries Lafayette Doha.

A French address in Qatar

Galeries Lafayette opened in Doha in March 2019, bringing the French department store's world of fashion to Qatar.

The buildings' domes and Paris-inspired architecture give the place a character of its own. A special detail is the area's climate-controlled outdoor environment, which makes it possible to move between shops and restaurants along a cooler walkway.

The location makes it natural to combine shopping with a longer stay in Katara. Take a walk, discover the architecture and let the visit continue over a coffee.

Brown Avenue at Galeries Lafayette Doha

For us it is special to see Brown Avenue in this setting. At Galeries Lafayette Doha there is a curated selection of our garments, where our Scandinavian design language meets an international audience.

Clean silhouettes, soft materials and considered details are the foundation of what we do. Being able to present it in Doha is a meaningful part of Brown Avenue's journey.

If you are visiting Qatar and passing through Katara, we hope you stop by. Among the international influences, there is also a small piece of Stockholm.
